I was photographing downtown Denver from Cheesman Park when a storm moved into the city in early July

With the morning calm the boats and their color reflected in the water as I used the edge to separate the image on a diagonal

Exploring some of the roads I came across this tree early one morning and thought the barbed wire and the look of the tree were complimentary in meaning

After capturing the scene and heading back to the hotel for a little nap
